Utopia Assisted Living
Assisted living is a residential care option for older adults who may need help with activities of daily living while still maintaining as much independence as possible. Support may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, medication management, meals, housekeeping, and other daily needs.
At Utopia Assisted Living, care is personalized to each resident’s individual needs, routines, and preferences in a comfortable, home-like residential setting.
Assisted living is designed for residents who need help with daily activities but do not require the level of continuous medical care provided in a skilled nursing facility.
At Utopia Assisted Living, residents receive personalized support with daily needs such as personal care, medication management, meals, mobility, and supervision in a smaller, home-like residential setting. Skilled nursing facilities typically provide a higher level of medical and nursing care for residents with more complex health needs.
Utopia Assisted Living provides personalized support based on each resident’s individual needs and care plan. Services may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, medication management, meals, housekeeping, laundry, and other activities of daily living.
We also provide support for residents experiencing memory loss and can work alongside outside hospice providers when hospice services are appropriate. Our caregivers are awake and available 24 hours a day to provide assistance, supervision, and support.
Utopia Assisted Living uses a central resident call and alert system to help our caregivers respond when a resident needs assistance. Residents have access to call buttons that allow them to alert staff when they need help.
For residents who are at increased risk of falls or may need additional supervision, we can also use bed and chair sensor pads and floor alert pads near the bed. These devices alert our staff when a resident gets up so a caregiver can check on the resident and provide assistance when needed.
These safety measures are used based on each resident’s individual needs and complement our 24-hour awake staffing.
Monthly rates at Utopia Assisted Living start at $5,000 and include housing and basic services. Because every resident has different care needs, we complete a personalized, point-based assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and monthly rate.

Yes. Utopia Assisted Living provides 24-hour awake staff, so a caregiver is available day and night to provide assistance, supervision, and support based on each resident’s individual needs and care plan.
Having awake staff overnight also allows our caregivers to respond when a resident uses their call button or when a resident alert system indicates that assistance may be needed.
Admission & Costs
Assisted living may be a good option when an older adult needs help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, medications, mobility, meals, or supervision but does not require the level of medical care provided in a skilled nursing facility.
At Utopia Assisted Living, we meet with the resident and family and complete an assessment to understand the resident’s needs, routines, preferences, and level of support required. This helps us determine whether Utopia can safely and appropriately meet their needs.
Every resident has different care needs, so we complete a personalized, point-based assessment before admission. The assessment helps us determine the level of assistance and support the resident requires and is used to establish their monthly rate.
Rates start at $5,000 per month for housing and basic services, with additional care costs determined by the resident’s individual needs. We explain the assessment and proposed monthly rate to the resident and family before admission.
No. Utopia Assisted Living does not require residents to enter into a long-term contract. Residency is generally month-to-month under our admission agreement.
If a resident or family decides to move, the notice requirements outlined in the admission agreement apply. We review these terms with residents and families before admission so they understand the agreement and their responsibilities.
We offer a variety of activities designed to encourage social interaction, mental stimulation, movement, and enjoyment. Activities may include games, arts and crafts, music, movies, group activities, light exercise, outdoor time, and holiday or special-event celebrations.
We also recognize that every resident has different interests and abilities, so we encourage participation based on each resident’s preferences and comfort level.
Yes. Family and friends are welcome to visit residents at Utopia Assisted Living. We believe maintaining relationships with loved ones is an important part of each resident’s well-being and quality of life.
Residents may receive visitors at any time, while we ask visitors to be respectful of the comfort, privacy, and routines of other residents in the home.
Yes. Utopia Assisted Living can accommodate special dietary needs based on each resident’s individual requirements and care plan.
We work with residents, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate to understand dietary needs and preferences, including physician-prescribed or modified diets. Our goal is to provide nutritious meals while taking each resident’s health needs, preferences, and abilities into consideration.
Staff & Medical Support
Our caregivers receive training required for residential care facilities for the elderly, along with ongoing training to support the needs of our residents. Training includes areas such as personal care, medication assistance, dementia care, resident safety, emergency procedures, and recognizing changes in a resident’s condition.
We also provide additional training based on the needs of the residents in our care so our staff can provide safe, respectful, and compassionate support.
Yes. Residents may continue seeing their own physicians and other healthcare providers while living at Utopia Assisted Living.
We work with residents, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate to help coordinate care, follow physician instructions, and support each resident’s individual care plan.
We understand that a resident’s needs can change over time. Our caregivers remain attentive to changes in a resident’s condition, abilities, routines, and level of assistance needed.
When needs change, we communicate with the resident, family, and appropriate healthcare providers and reassess the resident’s care needs. The care plan and level of support can then be adjusted when appropriate.
If a resident develops needs that are beyond what Utopia Assisted Living can safely provide within our scope of care, we work with the resident and family to discuss appropriate next steps and available options.
