At Utopia Assisted Living, we believe exceptional care starts with truly knowing each resident. Our smaller, family-oriented residential setting allows us to provide personalized attention in a warm and comfortable environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
With more than 30 years of experience in senior care, our team understands that every resident has different needs, routines, and preferences. We work closely with residents, families, and healthcare providers to provide dependable support while helping each resident maintain as much independence and quality of life as possible.
For more than 30 years, Jean Batoon-Hamilton has dedicated her career to serving seniors in the Sacramento community. Her passion for senior care began at a young age while helping her mother, Julita, in their family-operated care homes. In 1996, Jean became a licensed administrator and continued the family’s commitment to providing compassionate residential care.
Jean earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from California State University, Sacramento, with concentrations in Health Care Administration and Occupational Health & Safety, along with a Minor in Gerontology.
As a licensed California administrator with decades of hands-on experience operating residential care homes, Jean brings extensive knowledge, leadership, and a deeply personal commitment to ensuring residents are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, personalized care in a safe and comfortable residential setting where every resident is treated with dignity and respect. We strive to support each resident’s individual needs, preferences, and routines while encouraging independence, meaningful relationships, and the best possible quality of life.
We believe assisted living should feel like home. By building strong relationships with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers, we work to create an environment where residents feel valued, supported, and truly cared for.
Every resident comes to Utopia with different needs, routines, preferences, and goals. We begin by learning what matters most to the resident and family, then develop an individualized care plan that guides day-to-day support and can be adjusted as needs change.
We learn about each resident’s care needs, daily routines, preferences, mobility, medications, and the support that helps them feel comfortable and confident.
Using the assessment, we create a care plan tailored to the resident’s needs and preferences, with input from the resident, family, and appropriate healthcare providers.
Our caregivers provide assistance with activities of daily living, medication support, meals, mobility, and other needs outlined in each resident’s care plan.
We stay attentive to changes in each resident’s needs and communicate with families and healthcare providers so the care plan can be updated when appropriate.
Compassionate, personalized assisted living in a warm, family-oriented residential setting where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and care.
